CREATE BERLIN and the Berlin-based label Smeilinener celebrate Fashion Week Berlin with a special fashion and design exhibition "FLEET IN BEING" beginning with the opening party on July 16, 2008.
The exhibition "FLEET IN BEING" presents a cross-over of design, fashion and art, and reflects the gravity of the fashion world. The event showcases selected pieces of the existing Smeilinener collections inviting the viewers on a journey through the Smeilinener world.
Smeilinener stands for colours, handcrafts, joy of life, high-end quality, timelessness & long life.
Every collection is made from traditional fabrics from various countries, with an abundance of handmade detailing. The challenge lies in collaging the various textiles to create an unknown context.
Here, the traditional norm is turned into something extraordinary. The designer and founder of the label Mischa Woeste graduated from ESMOD fashion school in Berlin.
The exhibition design was created in collaboration with graphic designer Brigitte Speicher from Jacques et Brigitte, and the architects Fingerle & Woeste.
CREATE BERLIN SHOWROOM invites visitors to "FLEET IN BEING" from July 16th through August 16th at Wallstraße 16, 10179 Berlin.
