eco fashion showroom / Dirty Bird by Steven James Scott
08.07.2010 - 01.08.2010Fashion and responsibility - how does that go together? Is it possible to produce fashion without exploiting our natural resources? During Berlin Fashion Week in summer 2010 we showed trend-setting exapmles.
From July 9 until August 1 the fashion designers magdalena schaffrin, esther perbandt, fr. wagner, isabell de hillerin, format, studio ecocentric, anne wanders and mikenke showcased a selection of their newest outfits at the CREATE BERLIN Showroom.
The presentation was accompanied by an exhibition by photographer Steven James Scott, who with his recent project "Dirty Birds" takes a critical look at the glamourous world of fashion and poses the critical question whether there might be other, more important things that we should be concerned about.
Our next-door neighbours sieben&siebzig also hosted an event where they provided an overwiew of their range of clients, the focus not being exclusively on fashion but also on natural cosmetics, organic food and eco living. Sieben&siebzig's showroom is open for everybody who wants to be informed about green lifestyle with all their senses.
At a joint ECO BRUNCH with organic food, the visitors of our showroom as well as the friends of sieben&siebzig hat ample opportunities to mix and mingle.
